Hello, Friend.
My name is Nancy Sanchez and I am an Addiction Specialist and a Nationally Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist. I am also a woman in long-term recovery from alcoholism, anxiety, co-dependence, low self-esteem, and perfectionism. If you’re looking for someone who can help you or a loved one move along the path to recovery (and beyond), I can help!
In 2015, I started my own recovery journey after struggling with drugs and alcohol for 15+ years. I know first-hand the feelings of fear, anger, and anxiety that emerge when someone finally accepts help with the disease of addiction. I also know it is a journey we can’t do alone. Through my recovery journey, I have discovered my life’s calling. Recovery is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me, and it has inspired me to help others do the same.
As a recovery coach, I specialize in working with individuals and professionals who are ready to be empowered and make positive life changes. I’ve worked in a variety of substance abuse treatment settings, both residential and in-home as well as sober living houses. I also have experience in providing sober companioning services and sober transports.
I use a client-centered approach and draw from my personal experiences in recovery to provide hope to my clients. My initial focus is on helping people who are new to recovery manage the precarious first few days, weeks, or months of life outside of a treatment facility. Together we search for new ways to meet life’s challenges, develop healthy patterns, and create a fulfilling life. I approach clients with empathy and understanding while at the same time empowering them to make positive life changes and holding them accountable so they can achieve their goals. Additionally I serve as a bridge between the person in recovery and their family and help connect them to other recovery resources.
Recovery is a gift. I am committed to helping my clients use that gift, as they move from recovery to discovery of their larger life purpose
